Insurance Coverage

All full-time students are encouraged to secure college Student Health Insurance including the dental option, and to be insured for a nine-month period which includes interim vacations. Coverage begins at midnight on the date of enrollment and terminates at the close of the academic year. This insurance is provided by Sentry Life Insurance Company. Information and forms are available through the Student Health Center or in the Student Life Office in the Othello-Harris Jefferson Student Center.

NOTE: The week of January 28, 2008, the Health Center will be closed on Monday and Wednesday.

Please Note: Almost all services to students are free. Faculty and staff are asked to pay the $5.00 fee if they receive medication or if supplies are used in treatment. This assists us in purchasing supplies for the Health Center.

The American Lung Association of West Virginia has the smoking cessation program free of charge.

The I want the Kit is a free  confidential STD testing kit for individuals in WV, Maryland ,and VA. The testing is free and the State Public Health office will treat and counsel positive test result free of charge.

The West Virginia Tobacco Cessation program provides nicotine patches free of charge with a referral. The Student Health Center can provide a referral to students.
