The primary purpose of the Intramural, Recreation and Sports Activities Program at Bluefield State College is to provide a diversified mixture of activities to meet the demands, needs and concerns of our students. The program is designed to aid the student in the development and acquisition of skills which can be utilized throughout his or her life and afford the individual an opportunity for successful participation in an activity.
The intramural program of activities includes team sports as well as individual sports for men, women and co-rec teams. Team sports include: flag football, volleyball, basketball and softball. The individual-dual sports include: basketball, billiards, tennis, table tennis chess, golf, racquetball, backgammon, darts, bowling, spades, foosball, foul shooting and 3-point shooting. For unstructured recreation, the swimming pool, the fitness center, tennis courts, and the gym are open daily.
The Intramural/Recreation Office is located in the Student Life Office, where students may pick up entry forms and rules. Upcoming events are always advertised campus wide.
