Bluefield State College, main campus

For students at the main campus, the educational experience takes place on a mountainside, overlooking the city of Bluefield, West Virginia, and the beautiful hills beyond.

Though many of the buildings on campus have stood for decades, Bluefield State College is in the midst of an ambitious 10-year master plan, with upgrades to infrastructure and teaching facilities, as well as the construction of dormitories that will bring on-campus housing back to Bluefield State by 2018. The expansion also includes a 400-car parking garage, topped with a central lawn where students can study, gather and exercise outside. These additions will broaden the number of students who can enjoy the Bluefield State experience.
