Bluefield State expands Metro Rate Tuition Program for neighboring states

Bluefield, WV- The Board of Governors of Bluefield State College unanimously approved an expansion of the metro tuition rate, a discount offered to students in bordering counties in states neighboring WV.  The expansion increases the number of counties eligible for the popular program putting a college education in reach for even more students with savings of up to 28% off the out of state rate.

This program will allow Bluefield State to offer what may be the area’s most affordable education.  Students can pursue majors, concentrations and minors in many diverse fields including 13 nationally accredited programs.

The expansion of the Metro Rate tuition will take effect beginning with the 2017 summer session.
